Equipped with the very latest technology, ROQ has grown rapidly since clinical inception in Toowoomba in May 2007. In June 2011 ROQ commenced services in Cairns at the state of the art Liz Plummer Cancer Centre. With the aim of delivering high quality and affordable radiotherapy services to the people of regional Queensland, ROQ has established itself as one of the first truly digital radiation oncology facilities in the world.

ROQ employs staff from a range of professions. These include Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, Medical Physicists, Nursing and Administrative staff. The team at ROQ are committed to exemplary patient and family care, pursuing technical and quality standards without compromise and fostering an innovative, supportive multi-disciplinary environment. Both image guided radiotherapy (IGRT) and intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) can be delivered where considered medically appropriate. ROQ realise that professional development is key in developing new skills, and encourages its team to develop expertise in areas as diverse as education, management and administration.

Research is an important component in the mission to further improve radiotherapy services, and ROQ has an award winning research team, recognised not only for their work but also their dedication. The innovative, supportive multi-disciplinary environment of ROQ ensures continued development of both services and staff, whilst ensuring the physical and psychological well-being of our clients.
